Ranger Power Leveler
Template Code : OgMV0wHePMnj54sSuromZT0RkcQA
Attributes:
Wilderness Survival: 12 + 3 + 1
Expertise : 7 + 3
Protection Prayers : 8
Healing Prayers: 8
Equipment
5 superior runes
A scythe
Skills
[skill]storm chaser[/skill] [skill]Shielding Hands[/skill] [skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill] [skill]Throw Dirt[/skill] [skill]Apply Poison[/skill] [skill]Greater Conflagration[/skill] [skill]Mending[/skill] [skill]Protective Bond[/skill]
This uses the same concept as my 55HP ranger build, except you use [skill]Shielding Hands[/skill] and [skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill] to stay alive.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10219335
The basic run....
Go to Droknar's Forge, grab a noob and 6 henchies, Then enter Talus Chute. Once outside cast protective bond and mending, then head to the Ice caves. On your way there you will see some spawns in your way so flag your henchies over to them and simply run past.
Now for the fun part
Set down [skill]Greater Conflagration[/skill], keep [skill]storm chaser[/skill] [skill]Shielding Hands[/skill] [skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill] up and use [skill]Throw Dirt[/skill] before activating [skill]Apply Poison[/skill]. Now tab through the trolls hitting them with your scythe to keep all of them poisoned until they are dead.
I know other classes can probably do this better, but at least it can be done.

I still fail to understand what's the point of power leveling in this game.

You can make money doing it, it saves time grinding out another char to level 20, and its a good low risk way to get the survivor title track.

I think the ranger trapper would be better with the standard ether signet build:
Arcane Echo
Echo (E)
Dust Trap
Serpent's Quickness
Barbed Trap
Ether Signet
Whirling Defense
Storm Chaser

The only problem with that is the massive amount of trolls you have to pull. I doubt you could do it easily, but hey I've been wrong before.

It works for me, just do the big mob at the beginning and then the other trolls at the side.
The thing is, you cant kill the bosses.

yeah, too bad you can't just use R/E as those trolls do no damage with a terra tank ranger -key skills: [wiki]Stone Striker[/wiki][wiki]Stoneflesh Aura[/wiki][wiki]Armor of Earth[/wiki] or [wiki]Kinetic Armor[/wiki] fueled with a fast recharge attack spell like either [wiki]Stoning[/wiki] or Stone Daggers. Shockwave or something with spikey goodness (storm chaser works really well with stone striker...and dwarven stability if you have it) lsince your elite slot is open... Slightly more work, but you can actually do damage instead of just stand and take it. Add in an AOE or two and blammo.
LOL or just just go solo worms with a wand if you've got gwen...
